Half Rubber Sole
Add additional support and stiffness to your jig shoes with our half rubber sole fitting service.
This repair involves fitting a durable rubber sole section over the part of the suede sole behind the tips.
Half rubber soles are most commonly requested by:
- show dancers
- dancers recovering from injury
- dancers looking for a stiffer sole feel
The addition of the rubber layer reduces flexibility in the sole and creates a noticeably firmer feel compared to a traditional suede sole.
Please note that this is a specialist modification and is not commonly requested for standard competition jig shoes.
If your shoes have a hole or worn-through area in the suede sole, we would usually recommend a suede patch repair instead of a half rubber sole fitting.
