Advanced dancers often choose an ultra-light style, such as the Feather Flex from Antonio Pacelli or the Fays Ultra Light. These models are highly flexible straight out of the box, allowing you to go onto your toes immediately. However, ultra-light jig shoes generally have a shorter lifespan than ultra-flexible styles, so you may need to replace them more often.

For the best results, order jig shoes close fitting – but not too small, as this can cause the heel to collapse and shorten the shoe’s life.
