Customs And Duties
If you are ordering from outside the UK, please be aware that customs charges will normally apply once your parcel arrives in your country.
There are occasions where parcels pass through customs without any charges being applied. However, this is not typical, and we strongly recommend that you expect to be contacted by your local customs office for payment. That way, if charges are waived, it’s a pleasant surprise rather than an unexpected cost.

Customs at a Glance
-
📦 Customs fees are normally charged on deliveries outside the UK
- 💰 Fees vary by country and usually include VAT, duty (if applicable), and a clearance fee
- ❌ Parcels are only delivered once fees are paid; unpaid parcels are returned to us after 14–21 days (refunds minus postage & admin fee)
- ⭐ Orders to Ireland are different — Antonio Pacelli covers all customs charges, so there are no extra fees for you.
-
⏱ Customs clearance usually takes a few days but can take weeks in busy periods or during local disruptions
-
🔎 Check your tracking number regularly – it will show if customs have tried to contact you for payment
How Customs Charges Work
-
Your local customs office will contact you if fees are due
-
Parcels are only delivered once these fees have been paid
-
Charges vary from country to country, so we are unable to advise on exact amounts
Customs charges are usually made up of:
-
A customs clearance fee
-
Local VAT or sales tax
-
Import duty (if applicable)
⏱ Customs clearance times also vary — not just between countries, but even within the same country depending on the time of year and local circumstances (e.g. staffing levels, strikes, or backlogs). While most parcels clear within a few days, delays of a few weeks are possible. Once your parcel is in customs, unfortunately there is nothing we can do to speed up the process.
If You Choose Not to Pay
If you decide not to pay the fees, your parcel will be returned to us after 14–21 days. Once it arrives back, we will refund your order minus:
-
The original postage charge
-
A £10 customs clearance admin fee (this is billed to us by the courier for handling the return)
Tracking Your Parcel
We want your delivery to be as smooth as possible, so:
-
All parcels are sent on a tracked service
-
You will receive your tracking number by email once your order has been dispatched
-
You can also find your tracking number anytime in the Orders section of your online account
-
✅ We recommend checking your tracking link every few days. This ensures you don’t miss important updates (such as customs requesting payment) and gives you time to resolve issues before a parcel is returned to us
