The Capezio Boys Reel shoe is a split sole shoe which offers experienced male dancers excellent levels of flexibility.
The light leather uppers fit close to the dancers foot for an excellent shape whilst dancing.
The shoe is fitted with a Concorde Lite heel which is an Open/Championship level heel. It has a curve on the inside to allow easier and clear heel clicks.
This type of reel shoe is extremely popular amongst experienced male dancers and is worn by the majority of World Champions.
The shoe is not suitable for beginners, younger dancers or those with recent ankle injuries as the shoe does not offer much support and relies on the strength of the dancer's arches for structure.
Please note that the sizing on the bag and the Capezio Boys Reel shoe is in US sizing. So if you are reordering another pair please remember to go down two sizes from that for your UK size. If your Capezio Reel Shoes say size 6 on the tongue then you need to order a size 4 on the website! Not sure what size to order? No problem, just email our customer service team and they can check your last order!
Please note that sizes 13 and 13.5, and sizes 1 and 1.5 overlap in lengths - so a size 13 and size 1 are the same length, as are the size 13.5 and 1.5. Please see the size guide tab for more details on how to order.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any manufacturers guarantee on this product as it has been adapted for Irish dance. The leather upper is extremely soft and susceptible to tearing if heels are clicked incorrectly.
We will continue to meet the needs of our customers, but customers purchase at their own risk.

Please measure the length of your foot and refer to the guidelines below for what size to order.
If you require advice on how to do an accurate measurement then please visit our Foot Measuring Page for useful tips and assistance.
This guide is designed for the intermediate dancer. You may want to go a half size larger if you are a beginner or for a smaller size if you are an open dancer.
The measurements given are for the foot length we recommend for each size and DOES NOT indicate the length of the reel shoe. This style of shoe should be worn with no room at the toe of the shoe to allow for a good point when the foot is extended.
Please note that this is a guide and does not guarantee the correct fit. For more information on this guide and on fitting reel shoes correctly then please click here.
Measure your foot and choose the closest size to that measurement. If your foot measurement is between lengths then adjust for your type of foot or preferred fit.
For example, if you have a wide foot, a high instep or are a beginner then go for the size above your foot measurement. If you have a narrow foot or like your reel shoes very tight to begin with then go for the size below your measurement. You can find some examples here.

*Please note there is an overlap in measurements in children's 13 (203mm) and 13.5 (207mm) and the mid-size range 1 (203mm) and 1.5 (207mm) - yes we appreciate it is confusing!
So if you are currently a size 13.5 (207mm) and need the next size up please order size 2 (211mm) which would be the next measurement up. Likewise, if you are a size 1 (203mm) and the shoe is too large then please order a size 12.5 (198mm) which would be the next length measurement down. The reason for this overlap is due to the shoes originally being sized in US sizes and converting to UK sizing (Capezio sizing is a little strange, unfortunately).
Please Note - Every dancer prefers their shoes to fit in a certain way. Some like them extra tight, others with a little room. Combine this with the fact that everyone's feet are unique in terms of width, length, arch type and height and you can see why reel shoe fitting can be difficult. Hence we only offer this sizing chart as a guide rather than a guaranteed fit.
